Automotive products with multiple customization options are difficult to present clearly. Buyers need to understand what they're getting before committing — a standard Shopify product page rarely handles this well.
Prototyped the concept in Lovable, then evolved it into a custom headless frontend using TanStack Start — with Shopify managing all product data, cart, and checkout logic.
Whether a guided configuration step — showing buyers a live preview of their selection — reduces hesitation on complex variant combinations. Worth testing before assuming the current selection UI is optimal.
