How a project moves forward

From requirements to a storefront customers can actually use.

01 — REQUIREMENTS
Business goals and constraints

Understanding what the business sells, who shops it, what currently isn't working, and what a successful outcome looks like.

Business goals · Product structure · Content constraints · Audience expectations
02 — IMPLEMENTATION
Responsive Shopify execution

Translating approved requirements into working Shopify sections, pages, navigation, and functionality — responsive across every screen size.

Theme sections · Product pages · Collection layouts · Mobile implementation
03 — QUALITY CHECK
Testing before handover

Reviewing desktop, mobile, content, interactions, and the key paths a customer takes from landing to purchase before anything is handed over.

Desktop · Tablet · Mobile · Links · Content · Customer path

PawPops pet wellness Shopify store Concept Study
Pet Wellness · Shopify

PawPops — Pet Wellness Store

Organizing a growing product catalog so pet owners could find what they need without getting lost — and building a layout that made products feel trustworthy, not cluttered.

Custom Shopify sections structured for easy product discovery
Product-page layout with mobile usability as the primary consideration
App integration for product filtering and browsing support
"A product catalog only helps customers when it's organized around how they actually look for things — not how the business categorizes inventory."
PopNote AI note-taking app demo Demo Build
AI Productivity · Web App

PopNote AI — Smart Note-Taking App

A demo build exploring how AI can make note-taking faster and more useful — turning rough thoughts into structured, searchable notes without getting in the way of the thinking process.

UI design and front-end implementation focused on a clean, distraction-free writing experience
AI-assisted note structuring and summarization integrated into the writing flow
Built as a concept study to explore AI-enhanced productivity tooling
"The best productivity tools stay out of your way until you need them. The challenge was designing AI assistance that feels helpful, not intrusive."
Custom e-commerce and affiliate system Self-Directed Build
Custom System · React + Next.js

Custom E-commerce & Affiliate System

Translating a set of complex business requirements — order management, affiliate tracking, partner workflows, and admin dashboards — into a custom-built system that could actually be used day-to-day.

Full-stack implementation using React, Next.js, and Supabase
Order tracking, partner dashboard, and affiliate management
AI-assisted development workflow for faster requirement-to-build iteration
"Custom systems need to be practical to maintain, not just functional at launch. That shaped every decision about what to build and what to keep simple."

03

Why the approach is different

I understand e-commerce because I've lived it.

I've worked on both sides of the storefront: building the experience and dealing with the day-to-day reality behind it. That changes what I pay attention to.

A page must look professional, but it also needs to make products understandable, work properly on mobile, and remain manageable after handover. I keep all of that in view — not just the part I'm currently building.

Three things I believe
01
Clarity beats cleverness.
02
Mobile is the main experience, not the smaller version.
03
A good storefront must work for customers and the team managing it.
Storefront review

What I notice when I
review a storefront.

A demonstration of the kind of attention I bring to a product-page review. Specific, practical, and grounded in how customers actually shop.

Observation 01

"Buyers should not need to scroll before they understand what the product is for. The value proposition belongs at the top — not buried in the description."

Observation 02

"The primary action should not compete with several equally weighted buttons. Wishlist, Share, and Compare are secondary actions — treating them the same as Add to Cart creates visual noise at the decision point."

Observation 03

"Trust information is most useful beside the decision it supports. Shipping and return details that appear below the fold, after the button, are less likely to reduce hesitation."

This is a demonstration of my review process. Actual recommendations depend on the store, products, customers, and available data — not a fixed list of rules.

Approach

What working
with me looks like.

01 — PROJECT CLARITY
Define the scope first

We define the store, audience, scope, responsibilities, and desired outcome before any building starts. Unclear requirements lead to unclear storefronts.

02 — PAGE PLAN
Organize before building

I organize required pages, sections, content, and implementation priorities. This surfaces questions early, when they're easier to answer.

03 — STOREFRONT BUILD
Requirements become pages

I translate approved requirements and designs into responsive Shopify experiences — building section by section, keeping you informed as it takes shape.

04 — QUALITY ASSURANCE
Tested before you see it

Desktop, tablet, mobile, links, content, components, and important customer paths — all reviewed before I send anything for feedback.

05 — REVIEW AND REVISION
Clear feedback stage

You receive a documented review stage with agreed revisions. Feedback is collected clearly so nothing gets missed or misinterpreted.

06 — LAUNCH OR HANDOVER
Prepared for what comes next

The final implementation is checked, documented, and prepared for launch or team handoff. You leave with something you can actually manage.

No disappearing. No mystery about project status. You receive clear progress updates and practical next steps throughout — not silence followed by a surprise delivery.

behind Build With Cy.

I'm Cyrah Fajardo, a Shopify builder and e-commerce implementation specialist based in the Philippines. I enjoy the part where brand direction, business requirements, customer behavior, and technical execution have to work together.

I'm at my best when a business needs someone who can understand the goal, ask useful questions, work through the details, and turn the requirements into a storefront that feels considered rather than assembled.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

Most Shopify store builds are completed in 2 to 4 weeks. The exact timeline depends on scope, number of pages, and level of custom functionality required.
  • Standard theme customization + launch: 1–2 weeks
  • Full store build (custom pages, collections, apps): 2–3 weeks
  • Headless or complex custom build: 4–6 weeks
  • Every project starts with a scoping conversation to lock in an accurate timeline before work begins
Shopify development pricing varies by scope. Every project is quoted individually based on your specific requirements — no generic packages.
  • Basic theme customizations and fixes are priced at the lower end
  • Full store builds with custom design, apps, and launch support are mid-range
  • Headless Shopify builds, AI integrations, or complex web apps are priced based on complexity
  • You only pay for what your project actually needs
  • To get an estimate, email hello@buildwithcy.com with your project details
Yes — platform migrations to Shopify are fully supported, including product data, customer records, collections, and page content.
  • Supports migration from WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, and custom-built sites
  • Migration is planned to minimize downtime and preserve your existing SEO structure
  • Products, collections, metadata, and redirects are all handled
  • Post-migration testing and QA is included before go-live
Yes — Shopify is a core specialty, but the scope goes further. Past projects include a headless Shopify storefront, an AI-concept store, a custom e-commerce management system, and multiple web applications.
  • Shopify stores — new builds, redesigns, theme customization, app integrations
  • Headless commerce — custom frontend with Shopify as the backend
  • Web applications — dashboards, internal tools, custom management systems
  • AI-powered apps — tools integrated with ChatGPT, Claude AI, and Gemini
  • Landing pages — high-converting pages for product launches and campaigns
Yes. Improvement work is often more impactful than a full rebuild. I can review what you currently have, identify the highest-priority issues, and implement focused improvements — without touching things that are already working well.
Yes. Ongoing support is available after launch for updates, fixes, new features, and improvements as your store grows. Support can be arranged as a monthly retainer or on a per-project basis — whichever fits your workflow better.
Yes. I can work from Figma files, design PDFs, annotated screenshots, or written specifications. If you have a design direction but need someone to implement it in Shopify properly, that's a common starting point for projects.
Yes. I'm available as an implementation partner on agency Shopify projects. I adapt to your team's existing tools and communication process — the goal is to make collaboration straightforward, not to add complexity.
Typically: a clear project overview, brand assets and guidelines, Shopify store access, content for the pages we're building, and a shared understanding of goals and timeline. The clearer the requirements at the start, the smoother the project runs.
